What Tvindkraft means to the environment

By April 2010 Tvindkraft had produced 18.186.000 kWh clean electricity, saving the atmosphere from 15.560 tons of CO2, along with other gases and particles.

Tvindkraft has now saved the atmosphere from:

 15.560 tons of CO2

4,9 tons of SO2

18,9 tons of NOx

0,5 tons of particles

989 tons of ashes

These figures are based on figures from the Danish Windmill Association stating what 1 kWh windmill power saves the atmosphere from. As modern power plants pollute less now than in the 1900's, the figures above are conservative.

Their figures for 1 kWh power from a coalfired plant are:
